The New iSound is Launching on July 26th!

Users signed up to beta test will have a chance to preview the site before then.
You can create or login to your current iSound account to sign up for testing (all account info will be transferred to the new site when it launches).

Some New Features
- Super simple music discovery
- Type in a current favorite band and discover new independent artists that you'll love
- Continuous play while browsing
- Custom playlist and recommendations

Items Leaving the Site
- The mp3 sales service (we will link to places like iTunes, amazon etc to buy the songs)
- Ringtone sales
- Videos (we may link to youtube and others in the future, but won't be hosting the videos)
- Concert listings (links to concert listings on others sites will be available)

  3. One of the things I loved about the old isound was your contests/giveaways.

    I found Modest Mouse, Panic at the Disco and a few other artists that are now my favorites though your contests.

    It was just fun. I'm not sure I like the new layout. I have to enter a favorite artist. I loved having recommendations because I don't find new artists by searching my old ones.

The new layout sort of reminds me of CDNow or some other CD merchant and I like it for that reason; maybe if you add the option to choose a search by genre or keyword instead of just the Artists' name upon entering the home page. The layout is a home run thinking that your intent is to make it easier to find, listen, and enjoy some music
